Redefine
The Way You Work
where and how you work.
PlanOn brings you the "office-in-a-pocket" solution. When you're ready
to hit the road, put your laptop in your briefcase along with your DocuPen
RC805 full-page scanner.
The DocuPen allows
you to scan whole pages of text or images with one swipe of the scanner.
The RC805 is about the size of a long pen, functions fully on it's own,
and is powered by rechargeable batteries.
The DocuPen RC805
The DocuPen packs in more value than competitors with a Rechargeable Battery
built in, a compact and sleek design, Built in Memory (so can operate
without needing to purchase separately), has anexpandable memory Micro
SD slot, is completely portable, captures 100's of images at 400dpi resolution
in both colour and black and white. Scanning any page takes just
4-8 seconds. When you get back to the computer, plug the RC805
directly into a USB port both to transfer images and to recharge it's
battery at the same time - never worry about needing new batteries (plus
its also better for the environment).
Work times and places are being redefined with more people needing to
get things done on the road away from the convenience of their office.
Planon allows you to bring your office with you with the DocuPen scanner.
Even though the DocuPen is pen-size, it is not the typical "pen"
scanner that only scans a line at a time, the RC805 scanner scans the
whole page in one sweep just like your office scanner.
The DocuPen is your
tool to help you become more organized and efficient for many uses. Use
it to quickly scan a signed document at your desk and email it - rather
than finding a scanner somewhere in your office. Use it in your hotel
room rather than having to find a business office. Real estate, banking
and insurance sales professionals can scan needed identification and documents
right at their client's home and save time and have important backup.
It's great to capture
images when on holidays like a menu, or wine bottle label, handy way to
make a digital copy of receipts and tax records and filings (some even
scan cheques as they send them, since most banks no longer return paper
cheques with statements); experts recommend saving those images on a CD
in case there's ever a challenge.
Every person we know who owns a DocuPen tends to find new uses for it.
Both Abbyy Finereader SE (professional level OCR software) and
PaperPort SE software are included which give you great image
editing and organizing tools for all your letters, receipts, pictures,
business card and also provide the ability to integrate with Microsoft
Outlook, Word, Excel and other applications making your life more efficient.

ABBYY
FineReader Sprint is designed for simple OCR tasks. It allows you
to scan and convert paper documents to Microsoft Word, Excel, plain

converting scanned pages into images, FineReader Sprint actually
reads each page and converts it into a highly-accurate document
you can edit in Microsoft Office or other applications. |
** IMPORTANT:

The uses are endless:
scan a printed contract and revise its terms on-the-go; scan a long article

DocuPen Scan modes - Profile Configurator
You setup the exact values of the colour and resolution modes using the
interactive Profile Configurator dialog box on your PC/MAC when the pen
is connected. The Profile Configurator dialog is part of the DocuPen Scanner
Control window and can be started by selecting the Open Profile Dialog..
from the pull-down menu in the DocuPen Scanner Control window.
Points to Remember Before You Scan
What you scan is what you get. The DocuPen is sensitive to changes in direction and
scan speed and records every movement you make. The more uniform your scan swipe,
the better your scanned image results. This may take a little practice at first. Scanning
too quickly or abruptly changing acceleration causes the RED X LED to flash, reminding
you to reduce your scanning speed.
